How does my training work?
I teach you to have fun with your dog by playing games and using techniques that build a trusting relationship at the same time as teaching the dog skills we want them to have. Once you have that great relationship getting your dog to sit, stay, bed, retrieve and come back becomes so much easier.
I can also help you with practical strategies to manage behaviour struggles while your dog learns to how to behave appropriately.
I help dogs to be calm
No jumping on visitors, staying quietly on their bed when the post man knocks, walking on a loose lead, coming back when called rather than chasing the birds.
I help dogs learn to be brave
No barking at new people, sitting calmly next to you at the cafe while you have your coffee, new experiences are great - not scary.
I help dogs learn to learn
New skills come more easily once your dog has the skills to make great choices and understands that those choices will be rewarded.
Why use a dog trainer?
Despite all the benefits having a dog can bring, when they're not well behaved you can feel trapped and stressed out.
Sore hands from pulling, grumpy neighbours from howling and barking, destroyed shoes, dug-up gardens and lawns, muddy clothes – the list goes on.
I understand how you're feeling (I've been there) and can help you get through it. You see, a lot about dog training isn't necessarily intuitive and many underestimate how tricky it can be.
I use my extensive training and dog-friendly, game-based approach to teach your dog how to live well with humans.
I can help you learn the skills to build a relationship with your dog that puts you at the centre of their world.
