Macedon Ranges Dog Training.

I'm Natalie, a dog trainer helping people in the Macedon Ranges. I specialise in taking your (often crazy) dog and using kind techniques (like games and rewards) to create a calm dog who's a joy to live with. I would love to help you with your dog.

Dog Training Services

My approach to dog training is gentle, calm and fun!

I use a dogs natural inclination to play, eat and do work in exchange for rewards to encourage them to behave in ways that us humans find acceptable - whether that's walking calmly on lead, coming back when you call them or something more advanced. Together we will work out your dogs motivation and turn it into a learning experience.

Personalised Dog Training

I come to you and work through your struggles with your dog using kind techniques and games to get results.

Group Training Sessions

Group training classes are a great way to learn in a supportive and cost-effective environment.

Puppy School Classes

Puppy School lets your young dog practice safe socialisation and set some great habits for life.

 How does my training work?

I teach you to have fun with your dog by playing games and using techniques that build a trusting relationship at the same time as teaching the dog skills we want them to have. Once you have that great relationship getting your dog to sit, stay, bed, retrieve and come back becomes so much easier.

I can also help you with practical strategies to manage behaviour struggles while your dog learns to how to behave appropriately.

I help dogs to be calm

No jumping on visitors, staying quietly on their bed when the post man knocks, walking on a loose lead, coming back when called rather than chasing the birds.

I help dogs learn to be brave

No barking at new people, sitting calmly next to you at the cafe while you have your coffee, new experiences are great - not scary.

I help dogs learn to learn

New skills come more easily once your dog has the skills to make great choices and understands that those choices will be rewarded.

Why use a dog trainer?

Despite all the benefits having a dog can bring, when they're not well behaved you can feel trapped and stressed out.

Sore hands from pulling, grumpy neighbours from howling and barking, destroyed shoes, dug-up gardens and lawns, muddy clothes – the list goes on.

I understand how you're feeling (I've been there) and can help you get through it. You see, a lot about dog training isn't necessarily intuitive and many underestimate how tricky it can be.

I use my extensive training and dog-friendly, game-based approach to teach your dog how to live well with humans.

I can help you learn the skills to build a relationship with your dog that puts you at the centre of their world.

Must admit I was a bit skeptical going into this but my mind was quickly changed with Natalie’s knowledge and calm nature. Everything she said made total sense, and you just can’t gain this specific help from watching you tube videos. It was worth every cent and I fully recommend Crazy, kind, calm.

Nat is a wealth of knowledge about dog behaviour. We were verging on overwhelm before she came over but like some kind of Mary Poppins of the canine world she showed us how to restore order and helped us to understand what puppies need to learn and thrive. We shall be doing our homework in earnest, now that we have seen what is possible. We can’t recommend this highly enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
